Design Toyko Products Fair is an international trade show consisting of art, ideas and innovation in the form of marketable design products in Japan.  Its annual event exhibits some of the best products in the industry, which have all passed strict screenings by a team of designers and stylists. The show encourages buyers to find new wholesalers and discover new inventions in design.  Overall, it provides the chance to enter the design savvy market of Japan.

The show has an exhibit profile consisting of: interior, fashion, textile, dining, decoration, baby & kids, gift and outdoor living as the major categories of design products.

This year the judging committee consists of Kazuo Kawasaki – Ph.D., Design Director Professor Emeritus, Osaka University and Nagoya City University; Yukio Fujimaki – President/Producer, SHICATA CO.; Tomomi Nagayama – Interior Stylist and Luke T. Baker, Curatorial Staff, MoMA.

This year’s show will take place in Tokyo Big Sight, Japan, between the 9th and 11th of July. The benefits of the event are threefold: it will give keen shoppers interested in purchasing “indie” products to furnish their home and lives an opportunity for alternative, quality and “made in Japan” design. It will allow the prospect for business partnerships to be formed with buyers and retailers, or business-to-business relationships, and thirdly to purchase products from highly sought after designers worldwide.
