Following this divorce, Rupert has purchased a four-storey New York penthouse in what has been named New Yorks ‘It’ building.

Rupert Murdoch, 82, is the founder of News Corporation and one of the richest and most influential men in the world. Son of famous political correspondent Keith Murdoch, Rupert followed in his fathers’ journalistic footsteps.

From his six children, his two sons Lachlan and James Murdoch have been pronounced as heirs to their father’s billion-dollar throne. Murdoch has been married three times only recently just getting divorced from his third wife Wendi Deng. Following this divorce, Rupert has purchased a four-storey New York penthouse in what has been named New Yorks ‘It’ building.

The News Corporation chairman has bought the top four floors, which consists of two units in One Madison, which is located near Manhattan’s Madison Square Park. The two units include a triplex penthouse covering the 58th to 60th storeys and another full-floor apartment located beneath it. These stunning, glamorous and luxurious units were purchased for $US57.3 million.

This has broken records for the most expensive home purchased below 57th Street which expands over 10, 000 square feet. The building, One Madison, has 53 units including high-class amenities such as a butler service, a screening room and a lavish indoor pool completed with interior marble walls.

The stunning floor to ceiling glass windows bathes the glamorous rooms in natural light. The living room also includes a large modern twisting staircase. One of the prominent features of the dining room includes a beautiful modern lighting piece centred above the table.

These top floors of the building offer a stunning cinematic view of Manhattan stretching from river to river and from the World Trade Centre to the uptown tip of Madison Avenue.
